Why All My Articles On Medium Are Based on Personal Experiences

#3 I am comfortable with being a part of the emotional circus

My sister meant well when she warned me of this three months before.

There are my friends, my colleagues in social media. She was worried about their reactions when they read about my depression struggle, dating experience and finding out what a flawed person I was (the truth, atlast).

To be honest, I was wary of the judgement too.

I am from India and I embraced the single at 30 (and no matter how many more years) idea just this year (it is a daily practice I tell you).

But my audience are a mixed crowd of married folks, singles looking to settle down and my baby cousin. I was praying my article on single life should not show any animosity towards them. Some articles did receive lot of love from my friends but I was scared.

Turns out it didn’t have to be.

So, I will keep writing from my heart.

Here are my four reasons why I am comfortable baring my soul.

There are brilliant articles in Medium and I bookmark many good ones regularly.

But there is a certainly a space for someone like me. A flawed 30-year old woman with crazy stories to share on single life, life lessons and little happiness of my life.

I can’t say the experiences in my life have been unique so far. But what I believe makes them interesting is my perspective towards it.

Any article I put out there, is my voice. Period.
