Data Reconciliation

Reconciliation is a component of integrated solutions that will lead to the blame game if not attended. How many times do we hear of systems that the business treats as a mysterious black hole…

My edited letter on Labour Antisemitism

Pandering to the smearers means less time for dealing with genuine antisemitism and also fighting the Tories which is what we’re all supposed to be after. Thousands of people are dying due to austerity caused by the Tories, the press are ignoring it but we’re wasting our time dealing with smears and MPs that are supposedly Labour but are trying to do whatever they can to move the party back to the right.

So here I go, I rewrite the open letter…

We are Labour members who support Jeremy Corbyn in his leadership and the progressive, socialist programme and anti-racist principles of the Labour Party.

We acknowledge there’s a small amount of antisemitism in the Labour Party. We recognise that as a movement that the previous general secretary was as useless as a chocolate teapot but now we have a new general secretary cases have been dealt with quicker and fairer. The party has tried to deal with cases as fast as possible but is being slowed down by a number of complaints of antisemitism being in bad will trying to inflate the number of complaints in order to appear there is a problem.

We sincerely want to ensure the Jewish community, and our Jewish comrades in the party, that we will always do our best to eliminate antisemitism in the party and we’re proud, but not complacent, that it’s only a small minority.

We believe that there’s a number of people are wreaking havoc in the Labour movement, happy to weaponise antisemitism even though it’s alienating Jewish socialists, and sabotaging the Labour project. The excessive coverage of the media while ignoring the racism within the Conservative Party has meant people incorrectly think of Labour as a racist party. We will always stand with those receiving abuse but we also feel we must shout out when people are weaponising a serious issue to damage the party.

So there’s nothing we can apologise about, we tried to appease the smearers but their demands just got greater, they don’t care about antisemitism, they’re scared of a socialist government and backed up with media that feel the same way their faux ‘concerns’ are getting amplified. We need to speak out.

We understand that many Jewish members feel uncertain and have reservations, but we hope that you will stay in the Labour Party, so we can work with you and together eradicate antisemitism from our movement and society as a whole.

ENDS

PS if you still think it’s best to appease the smearers, I’m sure I’m not the only one who finds it upsetting being called an antisemite when I’m not, they try to give the impression all of Corbyn’s supporters are antisemitic, are we to just sit there and accept it as fact?
