Poetry gives you insights into the world from everywhere. You can see things differently, think about things differently and feel things differently. Reading poetry helps you develop the ability to understand and share feelings of another. This means that poetry can make someone see another perspective of the world and experience things in life that they never could through the eyes and mind of someone else. Poetry can change a person’s attitude and strip away their ignorance. Poetry changes the way people think about words. Reading poetry helps people to see words differently and how the minimality of a sentence in a poem generates power for every word.

Poems can tell a journey from hell and trip to heaven, it makes people who do not see different sides live the different sides. “We are suffering without love

We are expecting politeness person

We are looking for humanity — but

we couldn’t see anywhere…”

This poetry piece even without perfect English gives a whole new perspective about refugees and their broken hopes through poetry. The poem was written in an isolation cell after a riot was started and it displays the emotion inside his head, poetry like this makes people more understanding and more humanely.
